Welcome from the Head
We hope you are all keeping safe and well… here is a little poem from me!
Welcome to our school!
We are a small and friendly school on the outskirts of Southampton, in the Test Valley region of Hampshire. As a Church of England school we have strong links to our local churches – St Boniface & St John’s. Our three strong Christian values of Love, Hope and Courage help us to achieve our potential and behave well in school.
We love everything about our school, we are fortunate to have fantastic grounds with both a pond and allotment area which help us to bring learning to life! Being a small school gives us a real sense of family too where the children are given the opportunity to encourage each other, work alongside one another and support each other in all that they do.
Developing the ‘whole child’ is very important to us at Nursling and we encourage all children to do their best, to be ready to learn, to be resourceful, responsible, reflective and most importantly, to be resilient in their learning. We know that learning can be fun but it can also be challenging. Our children learn to be resilient through those tough times using our growth mind-set philosophy. Both children and staff alike believe we can fulfil our strong aspirations and dreams.
By the time your child leaves Nursling they will be a lifelong learner with the right skills to go forward in their next stage in their school career.
If you’re interested in having a tour and meeting the ‘Nursling Team’ then please make an appointment to visit, you will be warmly welcomed! In the meantime, whilst browsing the website, if you find anything that you would like a free paper version of, please feel free to contact us.
